Role Overview: The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, including medication administration, ventilator management, and patient assessment, primarily in critical care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care through assessment, therapy planning, and collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Administer aerosolized medications, perform airway management, and interpret ventilator waveforms and arterial blood gases.
- Educate patients, families, and support staff, while mentoring new employees and students.
- Ensure safety and quality standards, promote evidence-based practices, and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
- Assist with invasive and non-invasive procedures and Pulmonary Diagnostic Testing as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy; certifications including NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, and ACLS are required.
- 0-2 years of clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills, with the ability to establish professional relationships.
