Role: Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering advanced respiratory care, including medication administration, ventilator management, airway procedures, and patient assessments, primarily in critical care settings. The role involves independent decision-making, patient and family education, staff development, and participation in quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing compassionate, patient-centered care and promoting a positive team environment
Performing assessments, verifying orders, administering therapies, and managing ventilators
Educating patients, mentoring new staff, and supporting staff development
Ensuring safety, accuracy in documentation, and adherence to quality standards
Participating in invasive and non-invasive procedures and pulmonary diagnostics
Supporting performance improvement and evidence-based practices
Qualifications & Skills:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred)
Certifications: NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, and ACLS (required upon hire)
0-2 years clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care
Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills
Ability to establish effective relationships with healthcare professionals and patients
