Seeking a Board-Certified Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to provide comprehensive medical care in a Sacramento correctional facility.
Deliver full-scope primary care, including episodic, chronic, preventive, dermatology, and basic orthopedic services.
Manage urgent/emergent cases such as trauma, fractures, chest pain, asthma, and overdoses, including withdrawal protocols for new intakes.
Provide ongoing treatment for chronic illnesses like diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, HIV, and pulmonary conditions, following national guidelines.
Qualifications include an unrestricted CA MD/DO license, board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine, completed residency, and current CEUs. Correctional or urgent care experience is preferred.
Positions are full-time or per diem, with a pay rate of $185/hour. Professional liability insurance is provided at no cost. A $1,500 referral bonus is offered for physicians who complete 4 weeks on assignment. The role is in person, based in Sacramento, with support from a nationwide correctional healthcare staffing provider.
