Role Overview:
The Primary Care Nurse/MA provides triage, identifies abnormal symptoms, notifies physicians, and assists with patient care protocols. They manage EPIC in-basket tasks, including messaging, test results, and medication refills, and input orders to support clinical teams.
Qualifications & Skills:
- For LPN: Diploma in Practical Nursing, current licensure, 2-3 years of experience preferred, BLS certification, IV certification within a year, and unit-specific certifications as needed.
- For MA: High school diploma or equivalent, preferred graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, with at least one year of patient care or medical office experience. Attendance at MA Clinic Academy is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform patient triage, assist with clinical protocols, manage electronic communications, and support provider documentation and order entry.
