Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner – Neurosurgery

Job Summary

Seeking a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join a Neurosurgery team at a leading Neuroscience Institute. The role involves outpatient clinic work, including shared and independent clinics, with weekly inpatient and consultation coverage on a rotating schedule. Primary operating room coverage is on Fridays and as needed on other days. The team is part of a renowned Neuroscience Institute with advanced clinical protocols, extensive data resources, and innovative programs in acute and chronic disease management. The team includes multiple neurosurgeons and hybrid operating rooms supporting comprehensive stroke services.

Responsibilities

Provide outpatient clinical care in shared and independent clinics

Participate in inpatient and consultation coverage on a rotating basis

Assist in the operating room, primarily on Fridays and as needed

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a high-quality, innovative clinical environment

Adhere to clinical protocols and contribute to patient care excellence

Qualifications & Skills

Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies or equivalent

Current NCCPA certification or eligibility, with Pennsylvania licensure for PAs

Completion of an ARC-PA approved program for Physician Assistants

For Nurse Practitioners: certification from an approved program, eligibility for national certification, and PA licensure in Pennsylvania

Strong clinical skills, teamwork, and commitment to patient care excellence
