Role: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) – Home Health
Responsibilities: Provide personalized, direct physical therapy services in patients’ homes under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Assist with therapeutic exercises, gait training, mobility, transfers, and use of modalities like ultrasound and electrical stimulation. Educate patients and caregivers, monitor progress, document in EMR, and communicate with care teams. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and participate in team meetings and training.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program
- Current PTA license or certification
- 1+ year experience preferred, home health experience a plus
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
- Strong patient-first mindset, excellent communication, and time management skills
- Compassionate, proactive, and motivated to help patients recover
