Role Overview: The Physical Therapy Assistant collaborates with physical therapists to develop and implement treatment programs aimed at restoring or improving patients’ mobility, strength, coordination, and range of motion following injury or disease.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and adjust treatment plans under therapist supervision.
- Select appropriate activities to achieve patient goals, providing ongoing education and discharge instructions.
- Document treatment sessions accurately and timely, adhering to departmental protocols.
- Maintain confidentiality, uphold ethical standards, and ensure safety and infection control.
- Provide excellent customer service, fostering a positive environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in professional development, mandatory training, and team activities.
- Communicate effectively with team members and patients, demonstrating teamwork and respect.
- Perform other duties as assigned, complying with organizational policies and standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associates Degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
- Licenses/certifications: PTA license and BLS certification required upon hire.
- Effective communication, customer service focus, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
