Role: The Physical Therapy Assistant collaborates with physical therapists to develop and implement programs aimed at restoring or improving patients’ mobility, strength, coordination, and range of motion due to injury or illness.
Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans and select appropriate activities to achieve patient goals.
- Modify plans in collaboration with therapists and patients/families.
- Provide patient and family education, discharge instructions, and referrals.
- Document treatment sessions and complete required paperwork.
- Ensure ethical practices, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to safety, infection control, and dress codes.
- Deliver excellent customer service, foster teamwork, and uphold professional standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, mandatory training, and orientation activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned and comply with organizational policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associates degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
- Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant and certified in BLS.
- Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
