Role: Implements physical therapy treatment programs under supervision, serving patients across all ages according to established practices.
Responsibilities:
- Self-assess, seek ongoing education, and share knowledge with colleagues.
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families.
- Question logically, analyze data, and develop solutions to problems.
- Assist in student training, complete assessments, and support clinical education.
- Foster teamwork, listen actively, and promote positive relationships.
- Gather data, monitor patient progress, and ensure therapy remains within patient capabilities.
- Prepare documentation, assist with discharge planning, and promote evidence-based practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited program.
- Preferred: One year of experience as a Physical Therapy Aide or Assistant.
- Licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in good standing with the relevant regulatory body.
- Current BLS certification; must obtain within 90 days if not already certified.
