Role: The Physical Therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, and prevent deformity in patients with disease or injury. They collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment plans, goals, and discharge strategies, ensuring patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and revise goals with input from patients and families.
- Deliver appropriate physical therapy treatments, educate patients and families, and provide discharge instructions and community referrals.
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge plans in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Maintain ethical standards, confidentiality, punctuality, and proper attire, while effectively communicating with team members.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and process improvements, ensuring safe, cost-effective use of materials and infection control.
- Deliver excellent customer service using AIDET principles, fostering teamwork, respect, and a positive environment.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, complete mandatory education, and maintain licensure and certifications.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program with a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
- Valid licensure and certifications such as BLS and Professional Therapy licenses.
- Effective communication, customer service orientation, team collaboration, and basic computer skills.
