Physical Therapist – PRN

Role Overview:

Provides skilled physical therapy services to infants in the NICU, including evaluation and treatment, with a focus on discharge planning and equipment needs. The therapist collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare teams, offering education and making referrals as necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements individualized treatment plans considering functional status and discharge requirements.
  • Educates and consults with patients, families, and healthcare providers, making referrals to specialists when needed.
  • Delegates tasks to assistants, techs, and students, ensuring appropriate skill levels and competencies.
  • Completes documentation following departmental policies.
  • Performs assessments, reassessments, and consultations for physical therapy services.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Possession of a Physical Therapist License.
  • No prior experience required, but a Master’s Degree is preferred.

Skills: Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to assess and tailor treatment plans for infants.
