Physical Therapist PRN

Role Overview: The physical therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, and prevent deformity in patients with disease or injury. Services are delivered across the full continuum, emphasizing quality, cost-effectiveness, and patient satisfaction, while adhering to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Treatment Planning & Care: Implements treatment plans, selects appropriate activities, revises goals with patient/family input, provides education, discharge instructions, and referrals.
  • Patient Assessment: Collaborates with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment programs, goals, and discharge plans, involving patients and families in care planning.
  • Documentation: Maintains accurate records of evaluations, treatments, education, and discharge documentation following departmental protocols.
  • Professional Conduct & Customer Service: Upholds ethical standards, maintains confidentiality, demonstrates effective communication, participates in meetings, and fosters teamwork. Applies AIDET principles, promotes a positive environment, and adheres to infection control policies.
  • Professional Development: Engages in ongoing education, completes required competencies, participates in orientation, and maintains licensure and certifications.

Qualifications & Skills: A Doctorate, Masters, or Bachelors in Physical Therapy; valid PT license and BLS certification are required. Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer skills are essential.
