Role Overview: This position involves evaluating and treating patients primarily in rehab and LTAC hospitals, with responsibilities including daily documentation, patient and staff education, and communication with healthcare professionals. The role requires developing and implementing treatment plans, conducting evaluations, and participating as a member of the interdisciplinary team. Mentoring interns and participating in skills checks are also expected.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform initial and discharge evaluations, set goals, and document treatment plans appropriately.
- Develop and deliver effective treatment to meet patient functional goals.
- Assess educational needs and provide PRN therapy as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and serve as a mentor for interns when required.
- Participate in hospital and discipline-specific skills assessments.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy required; Doctoral Degree preferred.
- Minimum one year of experience in Rehab, SNF, LTACH, or Acute settings preferred.
- Current BLS certification, GA PT license or eligibility.
- Basic computer literacy skills.
