Role Overview: Provides direct patient care within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals. Functions as a generalist with opportunities to develop specialization in a clinical area. Supervises rehabilitation technicians, volunteers, and students, supporting patient treatment, assessment, and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Treatment: Implements and adjusts treatment plans based on current practices; documents care and coordinates follow-up post-discharge.
- Patient Assessment: Conducts evaluations, sets goals, and plans discharges; documents findings and shares information with relevant parties.
- Education: Fosters a positive learning environment for learners and staff, ensuring educational objectives are met.
- Productivity: Meets departmental productivity standards, proactively services patient needs, and maintains timely documentation.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.
- Licensure with Georgia State Licensure required upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Instructor preferred).
- Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills.
