Role: The physical therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, and prevent deformities in patients with disease or injury.
Responsibilities: Develops and revises treatment plans with patient and family input, provides education and discharge instructions, and acts as a resource for staff and physicians regarding rehabilitation services. Evaluates patients collaboratively with physicians, establishes care goals, and documents treatment sessions according to departmental standards.
Qualifications & Skills: Requires a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy, valid Georgia state licensure, and certifications in BLS. Must possess effective communication, customer service focus, teamwork, and basic computer skills. Adheres to ethical standards, maintains patient confidentiality, and participates in professional development activities.
Core Duties: Ensures compliance with regulatory standards, maintains timely documentation, promotes a positive patient and team environment, and follows infection control protocols. Engages in ongoing education, orientation, and mandatory system requirements.
