Physical Therapist – Acute Care

Role: The physical therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities in patients with disease or injury. They deliver services across the continuum, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.


Responsibilities:

  • Develops and revises treatment plans with patient and family input, providing education and discharge instructions.
  • Collaborates with physicians to establish and evaluate ongoing treatment programs and discharge plans.
  • Documents evaluations, treatment sessions, and family education per departmental standards.
  • Maintains ethical practices, confidentiality, punctuality, and effective communication.
  • Participates in staff meetings, process improvement, and professional development activities.
  • Provides excellent customer service, fostering teamwork and a positive environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
  • Licensure as a Physical Therapist and Georgia state licensure upon hire.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Effective communication, customer service focus, team orientation, and basic computer skills.
