Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care activities in a home setting, following physician orders, including assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of physical therapy practices. The role requires instructing and assisting patients with physical activities and assistive devices, educating patients and families on treatment procedures, re-evaluating and adapting treatment plans, and collaborating with physicians and practitioners to optimize care. Additionally, the role includes evaluating, fitting, and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices, recommending modifications.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy (PT)
- Valid Driver’s License and Physical Therapist License
- No prior experience required
Key Responsibilities:
- Instructing patients on physical activities and device use
- Providing patient and family education on treatments
- Re-evaluating and modifying treatment plans
- Collaborating with healthcare team members
- Adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices as needed
