Role Overview:
This Physical Therapist position involves providing skilled evaluation and treatment services within a supportive, patient-centered rehab unit that offers a 1:1 care environment in a hybrid acute/inpatient setting. The role requires developing treatment plans, educating patients and families, collaborating with healthcare providers, delegating tasks to assistants and students, and ensuring proper documentation. The therapist assesses, reassesses, and consults on physical therapy needs to support patient recovery and discharge planning.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy (Master’s preferred)
- Valid Physical Therapist License
- No prior experience required, but licensure is essential
Key Duties:
- Establish and implement treatment plans considering discharge needs and equipment
- Collaborate and communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Delegate tasks appropriately, assessing skill levels of assistants and students
- Complete documentation in compliance with policies
- Conduct assessments, re-evaluations, and consultations for physical therapy services
