Role Overview: This position involves coordinating, delivering, and supervising Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapy services for inpatient and outpatient settings. The role emphasizes developing personalized treatment plans, evaluating patient progress, and managing clinical care aligned with departmental objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient needs, develop and modify therapy programs, and ensure documentation meets professional standards.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, patients, families, and caregivers, demonstrating cultural competence.
- Communicate clearly with team members and provide professional feedback to foster continuous improvement.
- Lead and supervise therapy staff, coordinate daily operations, and manage departmental logistics and budgets.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, promote evidence-based practices, and support staff training and development.
- Assist in discharge planning, recommend adaptive equipment, and promote patient functional recovery.
- Mentor students and new staff, ensuring department policies, safety, and infection control standards are upheld.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Doctorate in Physical Therapy or Master’s in Occupational Therapy preferred.
- Experience: Five years of clinical practice is preferred.
- Licensure: Valid license as a Physical or Occupational Therapist.
