Role Overview
As a Pharmacy Technician Trainee, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team, focusing on delivering exceptional patient care and building strong patient relationships. Your responsibilities include assisting with prescriptions, processing orders, managing inventory, and supporting daily pharmacy operations to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage patients with compassion, addressing their needs in person and via phone.
- Assist pharmacists by processing prescriptions, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Use pharmacy computer systems to perform tasks like searching patient profiles, verifying prescription details, and entering invoices.
- Contribute to team efforts to improve outcomes and support company initiatives.
- Complete required training and adhere to all policies, laws, and regulations, including HIPAA and pseudoephedrine sales.
- Finalize sales, transcribe prescription data, and ensure proper inventory management.
- Communicate effectively with customers, resolve questions, and file prescriptions daily.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Eligible to obtain pharmacy technician registration.
- 0 to 6 months of experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and be at least 18 years old.
