Role Overview: Provide accurate and efficient assistance to licensed pharmacists by preparing medications, stocking products, and delivering excellent customer service. Support prescription processing, including counting, labeling, and maintaining patient profiles, while ensuring compliance with legal and HIPAA policies. Operate cash registers, manage inventory, and maintain a clean, organized department. Perform delegated tasks from pharmacists and contribute to overall store operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stock and inventory medications and OTC products.
- Notify management of supply needs.
- Receive and process prescriptions and refills.
- Prepare medications by counting, weighing, and labeling.
- Maintain customer profiles and insurance documentation.
- Operate cash register accurately and handle transactions.
- Ensure the department is well-stocked, clean, and compliant with policies.
- Assist with additional duties as assigned by pharmacists.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year customer service or pharmacy-related experience preferred.
- State registration or certification required.
- Strong reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
- Basic math proficiency.
- Attention to detail and product knowledge.
Physical & Other Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform bending and twisting.
