We are seeking a Patient Access representative to provide exceptional customer service in a healthcare setting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Greeting visitors and patients in person and via phone or video
- Handling confidential information with discretion
- Assessing and prioritizing patient needs
- Entering and updating patient demographic and financial data accurately
- Providing financial responsibility information and collecting patient liabilities
- Collaborating with departments such as Financial Counseling, Scheduling, and Clinical areas to ensure smooth patient encounters
- Assisting with wayfinding and hospital information
- Maintaining audit accuracy standards and resolving errors proactively
- Performing additional duties as needed
Qualifications include:
- High School Diploma/GED or higher
- At least 1 year of customer service experience in an office or healthcare environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts between 7:00am – 5:30pm on a per diem basis
- Comfort with working at multiple office locations
- Must be 18 or older
Preferred skills:
- Experience with electronic medical records
- Medical office experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology
Soft skills required:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
