Role Overview: Provides direct pediatric patient care in a trauma-designated Emergency Department, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
Responsibilities include:
- Promoting patient- and family-centered care through education on illness management, medication, and post-discharge needs.
- Ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while participating in professional development activities.
- Developing and documenting individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
- Assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, cultural, spiritual, and emotional factors.
- Maintaining safety-sensitive standards by working in a vigilant and safe manner at all times.
Qualifications:
- RN license required; nursing diploma or associate’s degree (bachelor’s preferred).
- Preferred: < 2 years of pediatric or emergency department experience.
