Role Overview
This position involves providing patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including tasks such as vital signs monitoring, EKGs, ultrasounds, blood glucose checks, specimen collection, and assisting with activities like bathing, feeding, and mobility. The role also includes assisting with patient admissions, discharges, implementing care plans, maintaining safety protocols, and delivering emotional support to ensure a high-quality, safe patient environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current CPR/BLS certification required
- Previous patient care experience or completion of nursing assistant training preferred
- Basic computer skills for charting and documentation
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, prioritization, and adherence to instructions
- Relevant soft skills for patient interaction and teamwork
Key Duties
- Assist with patient care activities and safety protocols
- Support patient admissions, discharge preparations, and care plan implementation
- Maintain hourly rounding and provide emotional support
- Ensure a safe, positive environment for patients
