Job Summary
The social worker is responsible for providing complex social services to patients and their families from admission to discharge, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Degree in social work (degree level dependent on licensure requirements)
Experience
- Preferred: 1 year as Healthcare/Medical Social Worker
- Preferred: 1 year as Healthcare/Medical Case Manager
- Preferred: 2 years of counseling experience
Certification/Licensure
- Required: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
or Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker (LBSW) with at least two years of social work experience
and current licensure in the state of Texas - Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within ninety (90) days of start date
- Required: SAFE Level III Training Course completion within six (6) months of start date
