Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret prescriptions, perform drug utilization reviews, and make appropriate medication determinations.
- Process prescriptions from physicians or patients, checking for sensitivities, interactions, contraindications, and duplications.
- Enter and update patient medical, demographic, and insurance information for complete profiles and billing accuracy.
- Provide counseling to ensure proper medication administration and patient adherence.
- Address prescribing and formulary issues, suggesting suitable substitutions.
