Part Time Retail Pharmacist

Role Overview

The pharmacist provides accurate, safe medication services at the Retail Site Pharmacy, including prescription interpretation, medication dispensing, and patient counseling. They evaluate prescriptions, check for interactions, contraindications, and duplications, and process prescriptions received from physicians or patients. The role involves maintaining comprehensive medication profiles, advising on formulary substitutions, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The pharmacist supervises pharmacy operations, delegates tasks to technicians, and assumes responsibility for the accuracy of their work. They collaborate with physicians and clinical staff on drug therapy, prepare sterile and special medications, and suggest operational improvements. Additionally, they assist in inventory management, order medications and supplies, and handle complex medication preparations when needed.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree and strong skills in medication management, communication, and supervision. The role demands expertise in pharmaceutical care, drug interactions, aseptic techniques, and regulatory standards. The pharmacist must foster a collaborative environment, ensure safety, and uphold organizational policies to deliver optimal patient care.
