Role Overview:
Provides direct respiratory care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, within hospital and departmental guidelines. Utilizes advanced clinical expertise to support patient safety and deliver developmentally appropriate care. Acts as a resource to the healthcare team, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities include effective communication, documentation, and collaboration with team members. Provides education on respiratory treatments to patients, families, and staff, and performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures following established standards. Demonstrates skills supporting complex procedures such as ECMO, mechanical ventilation, bronchoscopies, and sleep studies.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Licenses and Certifications: Basic Cardiovascular Life Support (BLS), Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT)
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
