Role Overview: This position is for a Part-Time or Advanced Modality Radiologic Technologist specializing in general radiology, primarily supporting operating room procedures, with occasional work on the floor, in the emergency department, or on portable exams. The role involves working with advanced imaging equipment from brands like Carestream, GE, Medtronic, and Samsung.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing patients and equipment for imaging procedures.
- Performing standalone and on-call imaging studies, including portable exams.
- Ensuring quality control and accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher in a related field.
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)).
- Experience in intraoperative radiology, surgical radiography, fluoroscopy, interventional radiology, or mobile X-ray is preferred but not required; new grads are welcome.
- Licenses such as IEMA (Illinois), RT, CT, MR, and others are advantageous.
Skills and Requirements:
- Ability to perform imaging procedures independently and under on-call situations.
- Knowledge of advanced imaging modalities like CT, MRI, or interventional radiology is desirable.
- CPR and IV therapy certifications are preferred.
