Role Overview: A physical therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities in patients with disease or injury. They provide services across the continuum of care in a cost-effective, quality-focused, and customer-oriented manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and input.
- Educate patients and families on therapy, discharge instructions, and community resources.
- Collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment goals and discharge plans.
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and patient education per departmental protocols.
- Maintain ethical standards, confidentiality, attendance, and professional conduct.
- Foster positive patient and team interactions, applying customer service principles like AIDET.
- Participate in professional development, mandatory training, and team training activities.
- Adhere to organizational policies, safety, infection control, and quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
- Licensed as a Physical Therapist and current BLS certification.
- Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
