Role Overview:
We are seeking a licensed pharmacist to join a growing pharmacy team, providing patient-centered care and high-level clinical services. Previous retail specialty experience is preferred.
- Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness based on patient condition and disease states requiring specialty medications.
- Provide clinical education to patients on complex disease management.
- Maintain expertise in insurance billing, prior authorizations, and manage third-party audits.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize drug therapy, formulary use, and prevent drug interactions.
- Oversee workflow, supervising pharmacists, technicians, interns, and volunteers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Lead development, review, and implementation of policies for the specialty pharmacy business.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required; Doctorate preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience; 2-5 years for preferred candidates.
- Licenses including Medication Therapy Services in MO and RPh certification.
- Strong knowledge of insurance processes, billing, and specialty pharmacy operations.
- Ability to work safely and maintain alertness in a safety-sensitive role.
