Role Overview: The physical therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, and prevent deformities in patients with disease or injury. Services are delivered across the continuum in a cost-effective, quality-focused, and patient-centered manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Treatment Planning & Care: Implements treatment plans, selects appropriate activities, revises goals with patient/family input, provides education, discharge instructions, and referrals.
- Patient Assessment: Establishes and evaluates treatment programs, collaborates with physicians, and develops discharge plans aligned with patient goals.
- Documentation: Records evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge information per departmental guidelines.
- Professional Conduct: Maintains ethical standards, confidentiality, punctuality, effective communication, and teamwork.
- Customer Service & Professional Development: Demonstrates excellent service, applies AIDET principles, fosters positive environment, and participates in ongoing education and training.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
- Licensed Physical Therapist and BLS certification
- Effective communication, customer service orientation, team collaboration, and basic computer skills
