Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in an Emergency Department setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care within established standards. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, and promoting safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The nurse collaborates with the interprofessional team to develop and communicate individualized care plans, considering physical, psychosocial, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and patient preferences. The position is safety-sensitive, requiring alertness and safe work practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree in Nursing; RN license required
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and document progress
- Educate patients and families on care management and post-treatment needs
