Part-Time Emergency Department Nurse

Role Overview: Provides direct patient care activities, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, within nursing care standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs. Participates in activities that enhance patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, as well as professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across the continuum of care.
  • Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations.
  • Supports a healing environment by educating patients and families, promoting safety, and complying with regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • RN licensure required; 2+ years of experience preferred.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness and caution.
