Part-Time Emergency Department Nurse

Role Overview:

This position involves providing direct patient care in an emergency department setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, and medication administration. Responsibilities include developing and documenting individualized care plans, collaborating with the healthcare team, and ensuring effective communication across care transitions. The nurse assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values, cultural, spiritual, and population-specific considerations. Qualifications & Skills:

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing (RN license required)
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with at least 2 years of experience
  • Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to educate patients and families effectively
  • Commitment to professional development and safety standards
