Part-Time Clinical Pharmacist

Role Overview

This PRN Clinical Pharmacist position offers flexible, as-needed scheduling to enhance your clinical pharmacy experience in a top-ranked academic medical center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, monitor, initiate, and modify medication therapy based on patient condition and age-specific criteria.
  • Ensure accurate medication preparation, dispensing, and resolve medication-related issues.
  • Supervise and direct pharmacy support personnel, including technicians, interns, and volunteers.
  • Serve as a medication therapy resource, providing drug information, staff training, and supporting transitions of care.
  • Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, documenting all activities and communications.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and safety within the medication use process.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required; Doctorate preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience; experience supervising staff is not required.
  • Licenses include RPh and Medication Therapy Services certification in MO.
  • Strong knowledge of medication management, clinical decision-making, and regulatory compliance.
