Role Overview
This PRN Clinical Pharmacist position offers flexible, as-needed scheduling to enhance your clinical pharmacy experience in a top-ranked academic medical center.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, initiate, and modify medication therapy based on patient condition and age-specific criteria.
- Ensure accurate medication preparation, dispensing, and resolve medication-related issues.
- Supervise and direct pharmacy support personnel, including technicians, interns, and volunteers.
- Serve as a medication therapy resource, providing drug information, staff training, and supporting transitions of care.
- Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, documenting all activities and communications.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and safety within the medication use process.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required; Doctorate preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience; experience supervising staff is not required.
- Licenses include RPh and Medication Therapy Services certification in MO.
- Strong knowledge of medication management, clinical decision-making, and regulatory compliance.
