Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in a 43-bed Med/Surg unit, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, and participation in safety and quality initiatives. Collaboration with the interprofessional team is essential to develop and communicate individualized care plans that address physical, psychosocial, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs. The role requires critical nursing skills, adherence to safety protocols, and active engagement in professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Active RN license
- No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred for advanced roles
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness and safety awareness
