Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care within a high-risk cardiac unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing activities. The nurse will promote patient and family-centered care, educate on illness management, and ensure safety and quality compliance. Collaboration with the healthcare team to develop and communicate individualized care plans is essential, along with evaluating physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; RN license
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and 2 years of experience
- Telemetry/Cardiac experience is advantageous
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work safely and maintain alertness in a healthcare setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care within standards of practice
- Educate patients and families on post-treatment care and medication management
- Participate in safety initiatives, quality improvement, and professional development activities
- Develop and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Assess patient needs holistically, including emotional, cultural, and spiritual factors
