Part Time – Cardiac Clinical Nurse

Role Overview:

This position involves providing direct patient care in a high-risk cardiac unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care within established standards. The nurse will promote patient and family-centered care, educate on illness management, and participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities. Collaboration with the interprofessional team to develop and communicate individualized care plans is essential, along with assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs. The role emphasizes professional development and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; preferred Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • Licensure: Valid RN license required.
  • Experience: No experience required; two years of experience preferred.
  • Preferred skills: Telemetry/Cardiac experience.

Key Duties:

  • Assess patient needs and develop care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on post-care management.
  • Participate in professional growth activities and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively across care teams and advocate for patient preferences.
