Paramedic

Job Summary

This role involves performing patient care and treatment activities onboard helicopters or fixed-wing aircraft, demonstrating clinical competencies to deliver assigned patient care functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emergency medical care during air transport operations.
  • Ensure compliance with care protocols and safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; completion of an approved EMT-Paramedic program.
  • Experience: At least three years in Advanced Life Support or Critical Care settings; flight or air medical transport experience is preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications:
    • Current EMT-P license from the Texas Department of State Health Services.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days).
    • Additional certifications: ACLS (within 1 year), PALS (within 1 year), NRP (within 1 year), TPATC (within 2 years), PCCTC (within 2 years), Flight Paramedic-Certification or Critical Care Paramedic from IBSC (maintain within 2 years).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Over one year of flight or air medical transport experience.

Additional Requirements:
