Job Summary
This role involves performing patient care and treatment activities onboard helicopters or fixed-wing aircraft, demonstrating clinical competencies to deliver assigned patient care functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency medical care during air transport operations.
- Ensure compliance with care protocols and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; completion of an approved EMT-Paramedic program.
- Experience: At least three years in Advanced Life Support or Critical Care settings; flight or air medical transport experience is preferred.
- Licenses and Certifications:
- Current EMT-P license from the Texas Department of State Health Services.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days).
- Additional certifications: ACLS (within 1 year), PALS (within 1 year), NRP (within 1 year), TPATC (within 2 years), PCCTC (within 2 years), Flight Paramedic-Certification or Critical Care Paramedic from IBSC (maintain within 2 years).
- Preferred Qualifications: Over one year of flight or air medical transport experience.
