Role Overview: Provides direct patient care in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care within established standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating them on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and documents individualized care plans with clear goals in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
- Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural background.
- Participates in ensuring patient safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance, along with ongoing professional development.
- Works in a safety-sensitive position requiring constant alertness and safe practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree in Nursing; RN license required.
- No prior experience necessary; preferred candidates may possess a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and two years of experience.
- Preferred experience in PACU, ED, or ICU settings.
