Outpatient Oncology Infusion Nurse

Role Overview:

Provides direct patient care in an outpatient oncology setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
  • Participates in ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, along with ongoing professional development.
  • Develops and documents individualized care plans with clear goals, collaborating with the healthcare team, patients, and families, and communicates across care continuum.
  • Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations.
  • Works in a safety-sensitive role requiring alertness and safe practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Licenses: Active RN license.
  • Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred for advanced roles.

Additional Requirements: Chemo certification and previous oncology experience are preferred.

This role is located at a hospital known for excellence in nursing care and provides infusion therapies, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy, for outpatient oncology patients.
