Role: Certified Orthopedic Surgical Technician
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing operating rooms for orthopedic procedures
- Selecting, sterilizing, and maintaining instruments
- Maintaining aseptic technique during surgeries
- Positioning patients appropriately
- Anticipating surgeon needs throughout procedures
- Handling implants, orthopedic devices, and surgical specimens
- Managing accurate counts of instruments and supplies
- Collaborating with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers
- Ensuring safe, efficient surgical processes
- Following hospital protocols and contributing to quality improvement in patient care
Qualifications and skills:
- Certified Orthopedic Surgical Technician
