Role Overview:
Organize and deliver medically prescribed Physical Therapy to alleviate pain, restore function, and prevent disability after disease, injury, or loss of a body part. Assist patients in achieving maximum performance, societal integration, and living within their capabilities. Develop individualized therapy plans utilizing physical means such as exercise, massage, manual therapy, heat, water, light, and electricity as directed by physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum high school diploma; a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) required after certain dates
- Experience in physical therapy (preferred but not mandatory)
- Licensed Physical Therapist; required certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and potentially pelvic health
- Must obtain Pelvic Health certification within 90 days if not already certified
- Required certifications are mandatory; preferred certifications are advantageous
