Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in a 32-bed orthopedic/neuro spine unit, focusing on elective surgeries such as joint replacements and back procedures. The role includes assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care within established standards.
Responsibilities:
- Promote patient and family-centered care, including education on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Participate in activities that ensure patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the care team and patients or caregivers.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.
- Communicate effectively across care settings to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Required: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree, valid RN license.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
