Seeking qualified (OPH) Ophthalmologists or (OPT) Optometrists with their own clinic near Reno, NV, to support Veterans through Medical Disability Examinations for the VA.
Responsibilities include performing comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing and treating eye conditions, developing treatment plans, conducting clinical research, maintaining accurate records using EMR systems, and collaborating with healthcare teams.
Must have active licensure, relevant certifications, and experience in post-residency practice, particularly with pediatrics or senior care. Providers must maintain OSHA and ADA-compliant facilities and reside within 50 miles of the recruitment location.
This flexible, independent contractor role offers part-time, per diem work, with training, support, and equipment provided. Reports are scheduled for at least 30 minutes, with timely submission of documentation. Compensation is per service, with malpractice coverage included.
