This opportunity is for qualified (OPH) Ophthalmologists or (OPT) Optometrists with their own clinic locations near Reno, NV, to support Veterans through Medical Disability Examinations (MDEs) for the VA LOB.
- Perform comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and treat various eye conditions, and develop customized treatment plans.
- Conduct or oversee clinical research and participate in trials aimed at advancing ophthalmology.
- Maintain accurate records using EMR systems like Epic, ensuring patient privacy and HIPAA compliance.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams across care settings and stay current with industry advancements.
This flexible, independent contractor role offers part-time or per diem work, requiring providers to reside within 50 miles of Reno, NV. Qualifications include active licensure, relevant certifications, and prior clinical experience. Facilities must meet OSHA and ADA standards. Benefits include a provided laptop, access to secure systems, training, and malpractice coverage. Reports are due within 2 days, with appointments scheduled for at least 30 minutes.
