Registered Nurse – Oncology Infusion
Provide skilled nursing care for oncology patients in an infusion setting, including administration of chemotherapy and biologic infusions. Manage and maintain central lines, perform patient assessments, and monitor closely for adverse reactions during treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and biologic infusions safely and according to clinical protocols
- Perform thorough assessments and ongoing monitoring for side effects and complications
- Manage central lines, ensuring proper care and documentation
- Coordinate complex oncology care with the interprofessional team
- Educate patients and families on treatment, safety, and expected outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other care team members
Qualifications & Skills
- Current RN licensure and ability to provide evidence-based infusion nursing care
- Strong clinical judgment, assessment skills, and patient monitoring
- Competence with central line care and safe medication administration
- Excellent communication and patient/family education skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, interprofessional environment
