Role Overview:
This PRN Occupational Therapist provides skilled evaluation and treatment services in an acute care hospital setting, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans considering discharge needs and equipment requirements.
- Educating and consulting with patients, families, and healthcare providers, making appropriate referrals.
- Delegating tasks to assistants, techs, and students based on their competency levels.
- Completing documentation in accordance with departmental policies.
- Conducting assessments, reassessments, and consultations related to occupational therapy.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT), with a preference for a Master’s Degree.
- Licensed or registered as an Occupational Therapist.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
- No prior experience required; supervision experience is not necessary.
